TEXT MINGLE #1: CYBERCHARM 💞

One way or another, if you find yourself opening your aXess Link device, you may notice a curious pre-installed application. It's called CyberCharm! Otherworlders skeptical or curious alike, and feel compelled to investigate this program, will notice that the interface's AI has been hit with a glitch, causing users to discover a pre-generated dating profile has already been filled out for them. If any users wish to change or delete their profile, they must do so before anyone else responds, otherwise they could be saddled with an embarrassing pre-generated profile! Once responded to, users are locked out of changing it for the next month! So please make certain you are satisfied with your profile before it's too late!

A Pharaoh, huh? Impressive. This city really is attracting all kinds.

I think the purpose of this app is just to make us connect with each other. Fuck knows why I'm participating. If it's anything related to that Synthesis, though, I'm not in the know. Magic still feels fake to me.

I would describe myself as an immature Pharaoh, knowing what I know now. But ... I am still a Pharaoh. It is a title I take pride in.

[ it's hard, of course, not to compare herself to Ozymandias and the other Pharaohs... the ones she viewed as superior in so many respects. the Sun-King himself had described it as yearning for a brilliance beyond the reach of any other.

so it is by that metric, by the metric of the other Pharaohs, against which she judges the maturity of her short reign and accomplishments... even if she is the historical elder...

--the part about magic, though. that was interesting. Nitocris is a Caster-class Servant. she is both a magic user and a product of magic, as a heroic spirit summoned into a future era. yet, as she understood history to have happened, the era of Magic had ended sometime ago. mages of the future (a future relative to her own) were part of underground societies, and most modern humans knew nothing of magecraft unless it ran in their bloodlines, right? so maybe this woman is not especially unique.

or maybe she's from another world altogether. here, Nitocris has no way of knowing. ]

That's okay. In my world, most people are not mages either. For magic to be part of everyday life... even in my era, even to me as a heroic spirit, this world is a strange place. And this level of technology! I don't even know how to use most of it!

Well, I'm not much for titles. But Pharaoh is a pretty big one. You should take all the pride you can.

[ Lucy's... not entirely convinced she's talking to an actual Pharaoh. She's only just barely started to accept that people are here from many different worlds, but an actual Pharaoh feels like a stretch. Maybe if they ever meet face to face, Lucy might be convinced. ]

This level of technology is normal where I'm from. Seems... cleaner here, though. You seem to have figured out the aXess quickly enough.
