TEXT MINGLE #1: CYBERCHARM đź’ž
One way or another, if you find yourself opening your aXess Link device, you may notice a curious pre-installed application. It's called CyberCharm! Otherworlders skeptical or curious alike, and feel compelled to investigate this program, will notice that the interface's AI has been hit with a glitch, causing users to discover a pre-generated dating profile has already been filled out for them. If any users wish to change or delete their profile, they must do so before anyone else responds, otherwise they could be saddled with an embarrassing pre-generated profile! Once responded to, users are locked out of changing it for the next month! So please make certain you are satisfied with your profile before it's too late!
NOTES
CyberCharm Profie:
Guidelines:
1. Please fill out the provided code below! You may write it in the IC style of your character, or as the CyberCharm app would have provided for them. You may modify the code to your heart's content!
2. The app's system is a little confused, and isn't quite sure what body count means. Could it be how many people you've slept with, or does it mean how many people you've killed? Feel free to respond to this however you see fit.
3. Respond to other profiles with the âś– / PASS! or đź’– / MATCH!
4. ???
5. PROFIT!
(Inspiration for this event has been taken from [community profile] synflux)

[This probably calls for... a topic change. Crowley isn't necessarily tactful, but even he can recognize when something is real uncomfortable for everyone.]

So did you have cell phones on your star, or is this new for you?

[Look, no one said he was good at changing topics.]

[ He appreciates the effort, abrupt though it is. ]

I don't know what those are. Are you talking about this method of communication?

[personal profile] floweroftheapex 2024-04-07 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Hohoho, now that's interesting! And if I'm being entirely honest, really makes me wanna find out where these angels like to go! XD

You've got a point there, Lucy-chan. Places like this value discretion, but there's always gossip between friends. Oh, the Yoshiwara girls liked to talk amongst themselves. So many Shogunate officials visited their establishments! Good thing you and I are both so charming, ne? ^_~
thindarkduke: (aw really)

[personal profile] thindarkduke 2024-04-07 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Sort of, I guess? I mean these look like cell phones, and they seem to basically work like them, except that they're apparently part magic and they're called an axxxess link or whatever.

There are various forms of communication used on my star.

The three continents of Eorzea favour linkshells, which are small, pearl-like objects that sit in the ear and operate by attuning to aether.

Garlemald has devices which utilise radiating frequences or 'radiowaves' as they have come to be called.

However, in ages past, the Allagan Empire made use of a hybrid of magic and technology - magitech - to produce a device similar to the one used here.

In other words, I suppose this is not new to me.

I figured as much.

He was harsh at first. But more importantly, he was very harsh on himself, on his duties and his perceived failure.

Such traits are normal for those in charge of the Underworld, even if he refused to acknowledge it.

I am doing fine, even if this is somewhat overwhelming.

I'd only visited the surface world once before, and in a very limited capacity.

Rhea'li lets out a huff of a laugh at the compliment, the tip of his tail twitching.

But eating is one of the greater pleasures of life... at least in Rhea'li's eyes.

It seems he was right about creation, but Rhea'li hides his interest in the miracled peas by pushing on with the current conversation. "Aye. Often a larger or more comfortable location will cost more. If you've no need for food, you can allocate more funds towards room and board if you do desired."

He gestures with a hand as he continues.

"One can share with others to reduce costs, though that can come with its own trials and hardships."

[Ifrita? The name bears an uncanny resemblance to Ifrit. Is it yet another concept that has survived to his time, albeit changed?]

That is quite some lateral thinking. 'Tis impressive that it worked so well.

[He has a sneaking suspicion he knows exactly which friend lent the concept...]

I imagine the peoples who lived there were quite grateful?

I did not think I would be better than most in that regard.

[Maybe his social skills is actually improving...]

That aside, I admit I am intrigued by the Goddess of Death.

“I wonder if I can just get a decent car. It wouldn’t be my Bentley, but… I’ve lived in my car before. And if I’m going back to normal I shouldn’t actually need to sleep and faff about with a bed and such. Are there car loans here? I think people usually get loans for cars…”

At the mention of sharing space, Crowley makes a strange face. “I’m not sure it would go well for me or anyone else to share a flat.” He’d sort of wanted to live with Aziraphale, before fucking Gabriel managed to steal a march on that one somehow. “I don’t really know how humans… act in their homes. And I’d probably spoil the milk or swap the salt and sugar or something out of sheer habit.”

A good point.

Gods I can do, although they're what we call Aeons back home.

[And there he goes, writing a nice long essay about the Aeons, the paths, and how they work in his universe. Sorry Crowley, it's a decent amount of text for you to read.]

And that doesn't even start on the Emanators.
thindarkduke: (what are you talking about)

[personal profile] thindarkduke 2024-04-09 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Okay, maybe not terse, then. More like prolix.]

That is an absolutely fascinating theology. That they arise from anywhere, can be of it seems nearly anything, that they can die... There's only one God, where I'm from, and if the Almighty is killable, I'm not sure there's anyone equipped to do it. And the Almighty created, well, everything--or at least created the universe, and made angels to build out the details according to Her specifications, to be Her hands. Your Propagation sounds to be the only one who has much to do with actual creation, rather than... modification.

What's an Emanator?
emet_sulk: (A20 That can't be right)

[ It's very possible that's the case. Ifrit could be the same concept, simply changed by the Amalj'aa's influce. ]

Lahabrea's creations never cease to amaze, quite honestly. [ They lean in a bit closer ] don't tell him I said that should you meet him.

Oh, quite. They plied me with more grapes and wine than I could have possibly hoped to consume on my own. Good thing I had friends to gift them to.

[ Apparently, the universe-traveling, time-traveling, katana-wielding martial artist really likes using emojis. This is really funny to Lucy, and she's not sure why. ]

Me too. I don't like being told I can't go somewhere.

I... think you've got the charming part handled, at least. I'll stick to being good with tech.

Especially if there's a possibility of a really good fight to be found!

Oho, is that so? But you charmed me so easily! But fair enough, fair enough. Listen, let's meet up around sunset when I've got those names and we can swing by the red light district and do some scouting. See which ones are hiring and which ones we think might best serve our purposes. Sound like a plan?

[Rhea'li tries very hard to not make it obvious that he recognises the title of Lahabrea, his expression freezing and poorly attempting to stop his ears from twitching. He doesn't think it is such a good idea to reveal that he has met Lahabrea, and perhaps knows more about Lahabrea than he wanted.

It doesn't occur to him that if he wanted to pretend he didn't know anything about Lahabrea, perhaps he ought to ask a little more about him. But instead, he asks-]

Do you make any creations of your own, then?

[Azem had mentioned transformation, but he's curious if Azem had any hand in making concepts, especially if they find Lahabrea's to be impressive.]

Aurelien Calistine
24 / he / Often.
HEIGHT: 5'8"
BODY COUNT: After the first dozen, who keeps a tally?
IDEAL DATE: You're welcome to find out.
You're asking a big question, aren't you? I am the mortal who slayed the demonic Lord of Locusts, and the hero who cut out the heart of the Architect of the Worldwound. I am a man who has walked the Abyss and returned, unbroken and uncorrupted, and all Golarion's savior! The triumphant Knight-Commander of the Fifth Crusade, the former regent of Drezen, the solver of the Enigma... I have many feats and titles to my name. Unfortunately, such declarations lack gravitas when read on the page. For the time being, you can think of me simply as a warrior of great renown.
