[As Dimitri speaks, there's a change in the portrait. It's slow at first. Colors fade, the paint seems to bunch and chip in places, normal wear and tear. But then the paint over the man in purples face begins to shift, features distort and lines fade until there is a blot of featureless beige. A moment later, the woman's face is ripped in such a way as it looks slashed by a beast of some sort. A moment later and one of the boys - the well groomed one - has a circle over his face darken until it turns black, a ring of red around the area as the section of the painting burns away. All while Vergil watches, face unchanging, even as his knuckles go white as he grips Yamato's scabbard.]

It is... ancient history. I do not see what purpose something like this would serve. Such memories are best left in the past.
