"That's a dog?" Usually it tries (key word being tries) not to show emotion, but it's obviously surprised. It's heard of dogs, sure, but they don't tend to feature on the media it likes to watch, so it's never really seen one before. It's definitely never been in the same room as one.
Does the human think this is a weird response? It kind of suspects that he does. It could try and come up with a lie, but it decides to just tell a mostly-truth instead. "Uh...I usually spend my time on stations. Less fauna there than on planets."
It's eyeing the dog just as much as the dog is eyeing it. Really not sure what to think about this, except that the dog doesn't seem to be much of a threat at least. (At the moment, anyway. It's got big teeth.)
