[ Gilgamesh looks down at his own cards. Then, he holds one up, turning it around so that the stranger may see it. The card reveals a king, gilded and adorned with riches. Though, he thinks, not so stylish as himself when draped with golden necklaces and rubies and finery. But then, who could match the King of Heroes' refinement? His wardrobe is the most unique of them all.

At any rate, there's something about the way this fairy speaks that is needling him. Something... in the cadence. Maybe it's just the nonsense associated with a being of such a background, that sort of mischievous and whimsical tilt. Gilgamesh does not know. Nor, truly, does he know exactly about the rules of whatever game he is playing at the moment, but fortune continues to smile on him. The lights in the casino brighten to gold, but the King waves it off, halting the rain of coins. Truthfully, he is beginning to look bored. ]

I had acquaintance with a certain Mage of the Flowers, if you know of him. [ His expression is flat. ] A troublesome individual, to be certain. One could say we allied towards a goal, however. I also know of the one who became king of that land, the person to whom this mage was an advisor.

[ Though, he thinks, his other self had... more dealings with that particular knight/king. ]

But these winnings are ceasing to impress. Truly, as I hold all the wealth in my coffers already, even if this world is a new one, I had rather win one of the grander prizes. To reverse time, or a visit to the realm of the gods? Perhaps we should raise the stakes of this endeavor.
