Emet-Selch may grumble a lot but, ultimately, with a lot of pestering, he can be persuaded to help where it counts. While he has little patience for mature adults playing pranks on others, he has infinitely more patience for those he perceives to be children.
Most of these spirits are certainly as old if not older than he is and so he indulges them in their game of hide and seek. It all goes fairly well until a set of fireworks goes off right in his face.
